The Middle School All-City Honors Concert is this Saturday, February 2, 2013, in the North Salem High School auditorium. The concert begins at 7 p.m.

"We’re very excited about our All-City Honors performances this year," said Coordinator of Music and Drama Mary Lou Boderman. "We have some wonderful guest conductors coming to work with our students, and our staff is doing a great job preparing our very talented musicians for this tremendous opportunity."

Students musicians representing all Salem-Keizer's traditional middle schools, and also including musicians from Howard Street Charter School, will be performing in the concert.

The concert includes band, choir, orchestra performances. 

Guest conductors are Sharon J. Paul from the University of Oregon, Richard Bauer from Neuqua Valley High School in Illinois, and Dr. Chris Chapman from Oregon State University.

Tickets are $7 for individual, with family tickets $25. They can be purchased at the door the night of the event. Music coordinators at middle schools also have tickets available. Group pictures taken by Encore Photography and performances on CD and DVD by Capitol Community Television will be available for purchase, with order forms located in the lobby the evening of the event.

We hope you will attend the live event and support our students and teachers, but if you can't attend the live performance, CCTV will show the concert on cable channel 22 on Feb. 9 at 6 p.m., Feb. 10 at 7 a.m.,
Feb. 11 at 7 p.m., and Feb. 13 at 6 p.m.

Due to a change in our yearbook vendor, the cutoff date to purchase a yearbook has been moved to January 30th.  In the past, we were able to take orders through the Spring, however this option is no longer available.  Yearbooks must be purchased by January 30th in order to guarantee a copy.  The cost is $15 and payments can be made in the school office. 

Yearbooks will be distributed to students on the last day of school.
